Kary Youman is a mental health advocate, speaker, and voice-to-book coach on a mission to help 10,000 people speak their books into existence by the year 2030.
His work was born from a deeply personal story. In 2018, Kary met his father for the first time. During those early conversations, his dad, a songwriter who had lived with depression for years, shared that he had been carrying the vision for a book for over two decades. Kary encouraged him to speak it instead of writing it. They began recording voice memos and shaping the book piece by piece.
A few months later, his dad passed away. But thanks to those recordings, they were able to publish his book, From Misery to Hope, after he was gone.
That moment changed everything for Kary and it became the spark for the voice-to-book process he now shares with others.
Today, Kary helps coaches, creatives, professionals, and everyday people turn their lived experiences into powerful books not by typing out thousands of words, but by speaking their truth out loud. Through his free 5-Day Voice to Book Challenge, group coaching programs, and private 1:1 support, Kary helps people move from stuck to spoken, from idea to manuscript, and from doubt to done.
He’s also a TEDx speaker, resilience coach, and a proud husband and father living in Norway with his wife and two children.
Kary believes that stories heal and that the ones we speak out loud have the power to change lives, including our own.
